Chitwan 3A Dwarika Nath Dhungel (standing fourth from the right) developed the courage to talk to girls only in 1965, during a college tour. The students were going boating for the first time, so everyone wanted to be a part of the picture. :If we were in Kathmandu, I would probably be too scared to take photos with girls”.

The study trip for learning about decentralization in Nepal began with a tour of Chitwan. Here, the students are near the Bharatpur Airport. This was in January 1966. Chitwan was mostly vast stretches of sal jungle. In Chitwan, the students spent their days visiting various town and village panchayats on jeeps. To increase their understanding of decentralization, they met with government officials and locals in these places.
